You can download in the form of an ebook: pdf, kindle ebook, ms word here and more softfile type. PDF 19th Regiment U.S. Colored Troops Profiles in Courage, this is a great books that I think.

This book profiles several hundred of the 1,000 men in the Union Army's 19th Regiment, U.S. Colored Troops, which was organized at Camp Stanton near Benedict, Maryland, in the winter of 1863-64. The 19th Regiment fought at the famous Battle of the Crater at Petersburg, Virginia in July 1864, suffering many casualties. After General Robert E. Lee's surrender, the 19th Regiment was sent to Texas to preserve the peace and guard the border with Mexico. Like many other Civil War army units, the 19th Regiment suffered far more casualties from disease than from battles.
